This adapter is intended to adapt muzzles from M14XLH threads to 5/8-24 RH. Made from top quality US steel and finished in black oxide.

The production and inspection process is optimized to ensure best possible fit and concentricity between both threads and through hole. It offers two large flats for tight installation and preserves the full front shoulder for squaring and securing the muzzle device.

We have designed this device to be the optimal thread adapter on AK style guns. All internal and external threads, shoulders, and diameters are true to each other within .001".

Achieving maximum concentricity and straightness on AKs with M14 threads is challenging because there is no shoulder on the barrel itself to butt up against, and no ground journal to fit around. All things considered, we chose to allow this adapter to butt directly against the front sight block of the weapon, relying on that face to be perpendicular with the barrel hole. There are purposefully no detent cuts in the rear of this device because it is intended to remain tight against the front sight block at all times. These guns have random muzzle thread timing, so there is no way for us to know exactly where your device will be positioned rotation-wise when it is tight. If loosening during operation is a problem, the installation may require one of the following:

M14 crush washer (available on this site, but may adversely affect concentricity)
M14 jam nut (also may have negative affect)

thread locking compound used on muzzle threads

staking, spot welding, or soldering of device to muzzle

cutting a detent notch for the FSB detent pin to fall into at location of maximum tightness
