This flash hider is threaded 1/2-28 for AKs that have been rethreaded.

This flash hider for AK rifles is based on the Norinco type 84 birdcage design. Unlike the original Chinese versions, it’s bored to work with 7.62 or .223 calibers. It’s also a perfect choice for use with bayonets as shown in this photo #4. Top quality material, machined in the USA and finished in black oxide. Counts as 1 compliant part.

I was debanning a Clinton era Maadi. If yours is like mine it was turned down pretty low. The end near the crown was .465"....but near the front sight block it was .500". So after threading this was a perfect solution.
