They are generally very reliable and accurate rifles. It shoots the same 7.62 X 39 ammo as an AK but is a totally different design which many consider to be superior. A few of the distinguishing features are: bolt hold-open feature standard (bolt stays open after last round exits mag) uses high capacity double-stack lightweight aluminum mags Steel sidefolding stocks and dark red bakelite fixed stocks are easily interchanged using a single mount screw Short-stroke gas system is considered to run cooler and cleaner than the AKs' long-stroke system Efficient design is lightweight for a milled receiver gun These receivers will be machined to precise specs with every detail carefully considered. They are designed to accept the original mil-spec trigger pins and also the swinging pin retainer clip. Click Here to view the BATF approval letter we obtained for these design enhancements. All of our receivers are shipped "in-the-white". In other words, we do not apply any protective or decorative finish to them. The heat treat process gives them a dark color and we dip them in rust preventative oil but the gun builder is expected to put the final touches on the receiver and apply whatever finish is desired. You will need to provide a current FFL before shipment can be made. If you are not an FFL holder, simply have your favorite gun shop handle the transfer directly to their store. * We do not offer assembly services or custom machine work.
