I bought this along with a 7.62 cross brake.
Using the TAT, the process was VERY simple. I'm not a machinist, but using their tool I was confident I could get concentric threads. All told it took me about thirty minutes to thread the barrel. After I cut the first few turns, I took the die and TAT off the barrel and broke out the calipers to check. I measured from the bore to the outside of the threads with calipers in several locations to make sure it was exactly the same all the way around. I slowly backed the TAT out of the die as I worked the die down.
Once I had enough thread, I removed the die and screwed the brake onto my rifle. The first time I screwed it all the way down, the brake stopped with the top at about 7 o'clock position. I took the brake off and put the die back on and gave it another quarter turn. Took it off, threaded on the brake to check position. It was at 11 o'clock, so I gave the die just a little bump more and the brake indexed at 12 o'clock.
